Or should I say Academy Award winner Halle Berry!!! Halle was born on August 14, 1966 in Cleveland, Ohio. Halle
is one of 2 daughters of a black father and a white mother. In 1985 she represented Ohio winning the Miss Teen All American
Pageant; in 1986 she won the Miss Ohio Pageant and in 1986 she was first runnerup in the Miss USA Pageant.
Halle got
her acting start appearing in various tv shows and eventually landed her first tv series "Living Dolls." The show didn't last
long but Halle continued to find work in tv shows such as "Knots Landing" and "Amen."
Halle made her feature film
debut in Spike Lee's film "Jungle Fever." Halle's film career flourished as she appeared in such films as "Boomerang," "The Flintstones,"
"Losing Isaiah" and "Bulworth." In 1999 Halle starred in the HBO movie "Introducing Dorothy Dandridge" in which she won a
Golden Globe Award for Best Actress and a Screen Actors Guild Award (SAG) for Female Actor in a Television Movie/Miniseries.
In March 2002 Halle made history when she became the first woman of African American descent to win an Academy Award
for Best Actress for her performance in the film "Monster's Ball." For "Monster's Ball" she also won the Screen Actors Guild
Award for Best Actress, The National Board of Review Award for Best Actress and the Silver Berlin Bear for Best Actress at
the Berlin Film Festival.
Halle has been married twice: to baseball player David Justice from 1992 to 1996 and more
recently r&b singer Eric Benet whom she wed in January 2001. She's also a stepmom to Eric's daughter from a previous relationship.
Halle recently separated from Eric.
